Thinking about a same day edit for your event?
You are in the right place. Same day event video editing is a finished, cinematic film cut on-site & ready the night of. We map the feeling & theme in pre-production, keep a lean crew close to the real moments, & have a dedicated editor building the story as footage comes in. By closing remarks, the film is ready to screen while the room is still in it.
What is a same day edit, and how does it work at an event?
Before we touch a camera, we get on a call with your event producer. We talk through what the event is meant to feel like & what story needs to travel after the night is over. That becomes a short brief the whole crew works from. On the day, we keep the crew lean & stay close to the moments as they happen. A dedicated editor works on-site as footage comes in, cutting toward the theme we agreed on. By closing remarks, the film is close to done. After wrap, we do a final pass & deliver something worth keeping.
Can you do same day edit video production for a corporate event or gala?
Yes. Conferences, galas, product launches, fundraisers, award shows. We’ve done same day edits across all of them. If your event has a story worth telling, we can have it ready before everyone heads home.
What’s the difference between a same day edit and a regular event recap video?
A regular recap gets delivered days or weeks after the event. A same day edit is ready the night of. That window matters. The energy is still live. Donors are still thinking about what they heard. Attendees are still in it. That closes fast.
How fast can you deliver the video, exactly how “same day” is it?
It depends on the event. We ask for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours of shooting before the same day edit airs. That gives the editor enough footage to build a real story. For a full-day event, the edit can be ready by end of day. For an evening event, it’s typically ready within a few hours of the last shot we need. The delivery window gets mapped to your run-of-show in pre-production.
Can the video be ready before the event ends?
Yes. If the goal is to screen it before your closing remarks, tell us in pre-production. We’ll build the shoot around that moment.
What’s the latest footage you can capture and still include?
We set a content cutoff in pre-production, typically 60 to 90 minutes before delivery. Anything before that window is in. Anything after goes into the final delivery pass. It gets locked into your run-of-show before the event. No surprises night-of.
How far in advance should we book?
At least 3 to 4 weeks. That gives us time for the pre-event mapping call, the written brief, & making sure everyone on the crew is aligned before the day. Rush bookings are possible on a case-by-case basis.
How much does a same day edit cost?
Every event is scoped individually. Event length, crew size, & deliverables all factor in. Get in touch & we’ll talk through what you need.
Does same day turnaround cost more than standard delivery?
Same day means a dedicated on-site editor working alongside the shooter in real time. That takes more prep than standard post-event delivery. We scope it together before anything gets committed.
How quickly can you quote a project, and what do you need from us?
We try to turn it around within a week. To scope it accurately, we need your event date, location, a rough run-of-show, & what you want the film to do. The more you give us, the faster we can come back with a real answer.
How long is the same day edit?
90 seconds to 2 minutes. Long enough to carry the story, short enough to hold attention.
Do we get social media versions, vertical cuts, short clips?
The same day edit is delivered as one finished film. Vertical & square cuts are available as add-ons. If you need those formats, flag it before the event & we’ll plan for them.
Can you include our logo & branding?
Yes. Brand assets get built into the edit before the event: logos & color palette. Send us your brand kit at least a week out.
Do you deliver a final version after the event too, or just the same day cut?
Both, if you want them. The same day edit is built for the night of. The post-event version, longer & more considered, is a separate deliverable we can scope together. A lot of clients use both.
Is quality compromised because of the fast turnaround?
No. That’s what the pre-production work is for.
The mapping call locks in the feeling & theme before anyone touches a camera. The editor has a brief to work from & assets ready to go. On the day, they’re cutting toward something clear. The speed is in the workflow, not in what ends up on screen.
What happens if the video isn’t ready on time?
Same day delivery is the whole job. We build the timeline & workflow around hitting it. If something goes wrong, a technical failure or a major schedule overrun, we communicate in real time. We’ve never missed a promised delivery window.
Can we see the video before it airs?
Most of the alignment happens in pre-production, not the night of. The mapping call is where we get on the same page about feeling, theme, & what the film needs to do. If the same day edit is being screened on-site, there’s an optional preview before it airs.
